Description
The Zebra Midge (Bead Head) is a proven trout pattern designed to get down quickly and stay in the strike zone where fish are actively feeding.
Tied on a barbed hook in sizes 16, 18, and 20.
The addition of a bead head gives this fly a faster sink rate, making it ideal for deeper runs, faster current, and nymph rigs where getting depth is critical. The slim, segmented body closely imitates midge larvae, one of the most consistent food sources in any trout fishery.
Fish it under an indicator, as part of a double nymph rig, or as a dropper when you need a fly that gets down fast and produces.
