I have been tying flies for the past 13 years and tying commercially for the past 8 years. I like tying all types of flies but my true passion for fly-tying is saltwater and warmwater patterns. A lifelong resident of the New Orleans area, I have previously served on the Fly Fishers International Board of Directors and as President of the New Orleans Fly Fishers Club. I presently serve as President of the Gulf Coast Council of Fly Fishers International. I currently am on the pro-staff of Finatics Fly Company, R.L. Winston Rod Co. and Bauer Reels.

One species I target more than any other is largemouth. They can be quite challenging depending on conditions and locations, making me tie differently between scenarios. I have been tying for two years under the guidance of AJ Rosenbohm. I specialize in weird flies for carp and other small species — gar flies and baitfish patterns. I have been fly fishing for 12 years, starting in the hill country of Texas on the Guadalupe River. I moved to New Orleans and discovered a whole other world of fly fishing.

I started tying when I was 14 years old, but I didn't really get serious until 2018. I dove into tying so I could save money on buying flies, but we tyers know the truth about that! I tie flies that are appealing to the fish and to the fisherman. I'm most at home tying shrimp and crab patterns, but I love getting into bucktail deceivers, hollow ties and more. I'm a sight fishing junkie — permit, redfish, stripers, bonefish, carp, and more.

Conner's passion for fly fishing started young and has grown into a lifelong pursuit rooted in the outdoors. With a background in fine arts, his flies blend creativity and function. Spending his time chasing fish in the Louisiana Marsh, Conner focuses on saltwater patterns built for movement and durability.
