Description
Prince Nymph- Finatics Fly Company
If trout had yearbooks, the Prince Nymph- Finatics Fly Company would win “Most Likely to Get Eaten.” This fly has been fooling fish since the 1930s, and it’s still a top performer in today’s highly pressured waters.
Tied with flashy white goose biot wings, peacock herl body, wire ribbing, and a gold bead head, this fly combines realism and attraction in just the right doses. It’s a deadly choice when trout are feeding subsurface but ignoring the subtle stuff.
Fish it under an indicator, as a dropper beneath a dry, or in a two-fly nymph rig—it just works.
Why it belongs in your box:
-
Bead head helps it sink fast and ride naturally
-
White biot wings imitate emerging insects and add visibility
-
Peacock herl and wire ribbing offer natural shimmer and durability
-
Tied on a strong barbed hook to keep fish pinned
-
Effective in tailwaters, freestones, and anywhere trout swim
