Description
The Kung Fu Crab is a compact, lifelike crab pattern built for fish that stay tight to the bottom and demand a clean, natural presentation.
Tied on a Daiichi 2546 hook in size #4.
Designed with a low-profile body, subtle movement, and balanced weight, this fly lands soft and settles naturally—exactly how feeding fish expect to see a crab. The combination of rubber legs, natural fibers, and a tight silhouette gives it just enough motion without overpowering the presentation.
This is a precision pattern for when it matters most:
- Redfish cruising shallow flats
- Permit keyed in on small crabs
- Clear water, pressured fish
- Situations where oversized or flashy flies get refused
The Kung Fu Crab excels on short strips, slow crawls, and controlled bottom movement. It stays in the strike zone and looks right doing it.
This is not a “search” fly—it’s a conversion fly.
